At Tancinco . Mangco & Associates (“TM Legal”), we value your trust and confidence and shall exercise utmost efforts to protect your privacy.

Personal Data Collected and Transparency

TM Legal collects your Personal Information when you voluntarily provide it to us using the “Contact Us” portion of this website. For example, you may give us (a) your name; or (b) your contact information, (c) personal circumstances related to your case or engagement with us, and/or (d) any other personal data you choose to include. 

Apart from your voluntary submissions, we may be able to obtain personal data in various ways. These include instances where you: 

  1. Enter into a formal engagement with us (i.e. retainer agreement, service agreement, employment contract, among others);
  2. Submit to us any request, form, notice, or some other document;
  3. Inquire after or apply for employment;
  4. Access browsers, visit, or use our website and other online presence; or
  5. Otherwise provide us with personal data, whether directly or through another person.

In every case where we request Personal Information from you, TM Legal warrants that you will be made aware of the nature, purpose, and extent of the processing of such information, including the risks and safeguards involved. Any information and communication relating to the processing of Personal Information will be made accessible, using clear and plain language.

Data Protection

To the extent that you provide TM Legal with Personal Information, TM Legal shall undertake to keep such information in strict confidence and shall not disclose your identity or any other personally-identifiable information, except with your express consent or as may be required by law. 

In the event, however, that TM Legal is mandated by law or a competent court to disclose your Personal Information, we warrant that such disclosure shall be limited only to that which is specifically required and shall take reasonable efforts to minimize any further disclosures.

Retention and/or Destruction of Personal Information

Your Personal Information is retained during the duration of your engagement with the firm and for a reasonable period thereafter for records keeping purposes. If your account with us remains inactive for a period of two (2) consecutive years, we undertake to use reasonable efforts to delete your Personal Information from all equipment and machines on which such information is stored and processed.

Data Breach Reporting

In any instance of data breach, we undertake to promptly notify you and the National Privacy Commission when sensitive personal information may be used to enable identity fraud and are reasonably believed to have been acquired by an unauthorized person. Notification shall in no case exceed seventy (72) hours from discovery of breach.

Your Rights

RIGHT TO OBJECT

You have the right to refuse to provide us with your Personal Information, as well as the right to refuse any further processing of any Personal Information already given.  

RIGHT TO ACCESS

You are welcome to request access to your Personal Information that we collect and process. 

RIGHT TO RECTIFICATION

In the event of any inaccuracies or errors, you have the right to have them immediately corrected. 

RIGHT TO ERASURE OR BLOCKING

You may request us to suspend, withdraw, or order the blocking, removal, or destruction of your personal data from our filing system if it is found that the same is incomplete, outdated, false, or has been unlawfully obtained.

RIGHT TO DAMAGES

In case of breach, you have the right to be indemnified for any damages sustained due to inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, false, unlawfully obtained, or unauthorized use of your personal data.

TRANSMISSIBILITY OF RIGHTS

In case of the death of a Data Subject, or in case of a Data Subject’s incapacity or incapability to exercise legal rights, the Data Subject’s lawful heirs and assigns may invoke the Data Subject’s rights in place of the Data Subject.
